Jacobs Construction Supervisor (CS) - Siding & Roofing in Scoville, Idaho

Reports to either the Construction Project Manager (CPM) or the Contracts Project Manager (CoPM), as applies, and is responsible for supporting the CPM/CoPM through daily oversight of the Subcontractor(s) work activities.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily oversight of Subcontractor(s). The CS is the first point-of-contact for subcontractor field supervision

  • Assist, at the direction of the CPM/CoPM, in validating subcontractor progress and subcontractor pay applications

  • Assists CPM/CoPM with coordinating daily subcontractor work schedules and attends daily pre-shift briefings or “Plan of the Day” meetings Identifies and assists in resolving work issues between other project subcontractors/CS’s/CoPM’s

  • Review daily, or as required, Subcontractor’s hazard analysis for planned work activities

  • Familiarize and implement Jacob’s and Client Project Policies and Procedures

  • Read and understand the subcontract(s) technical documents, including specifications, drawings and supplemental material and monitor the subcontractor for conformance to those requirements

  • Familiarize and implement the Project Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements as well as the Project Quality Assurance Plan (PQAP)

  • As required, review the Subcontractor’s site specific HSE and Quality Plan

  • As required, review Subcontractor’s Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)

  • As required, assist engineering with review of subcontractor technical submittals

  • Document Subcontractor’s daily activities including work progress, issues impacting safety, quality or schedule, manpower, and required project coordination

  • Interface with client Subcontractor Technical Representatives (STR’s)

  • Interface and support Construction Quality Inspectors (CQI’s), Resident Engineers (RE’s) and HSE personnel

  • Implementation of Subcontractor work execution documents including, hot work permits, LOTO’s, and confined space entry authorizations

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • High School Diploma and 5-10 years of industrial construction site experience as a superintendent or construction manager (or) bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering

  • Construction experience to include PVC Membrane roofing, and siding installation at mid-level heights

  • Working knowledge of Primavera (P6) schedules

  • Working knowledge of ASME-NQA-1 Quality Assurance Requirements

  • Position requires current OSHA 10 (within last 3 years) or the ability to obtain.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Teams, & Outlook

  • Must be a US Citizen (to comply with government customer requirements and/or applicable government regulations

Preferences:

  • ASTM Standard Specifications for Coated, Painted Steel Sheet

  • ASTM Standard Specifications for PVC Sheet Roofing

  • Experience with industrial construction

· Essential Requirements:

· Physical Requirements: Work will vary from sedentary office tasks to in-field site work. May transport light items, such as reports, data products, notebooks and laptops.

· Work Environment:

· Office environment within Facility construction trailers and field.

· Ability to lift 50 pounds

· Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding

· May be in a restricted work area.

· Criticality of Attendance:

· Must be able to work within the normal daytime shift in the office on-site. Except for Short Term Disability/Long Term Disability/FMLA & approved time off, attendance is considered essential.

· Equipment and Machines:

· Standard office equipment and machines: personal computer, scanner, copy machine, telephone, printer, fax machine, and other office equipment including desk supplies. Personal computer and required software.

Other Essential Functions:

· Must be able to secure and maintain a security clearance

· Must take and pass a pre-employment drug and background check.

· Must be able to read and write effectively in English.

· Project Information:

· The work location for this position at the Naval Reactors Facility, Idaho National Lab, Idaho Falls, ID 83403-2008 approximately 55 miles WNW of Idaho Falls, Idaho
