Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Group Manager this role researches, develops, documents and observes the construction of complex programs applying knowledge of architectural design, sustainability, building materials & systems, construction detailing and building codes.

  • Interacts, communicates and coordinates effectively with Architecture design and technical leads.

  • Responsible for preparation of architectural and LEED documentation during design and supporting construction administration throughout construction.

  • Understands and coordinates technical issues relating to sustainable design and energy conservation.

  • Interacts with the client, client representatives, and constructors regarding technical and sustainable aspects of the project.

Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited program.

  • Bachelor of Architecture required.

  • Architectural Registration in Massachusetts

  • 7 years of experience

  • Experience in all phases of a building design project

  • Detail oriented and highly organized.

  • Effectively communicates and collaborates with the project manager.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication for internal and external project teams.

  • LEED AP, Well AP considered a plus.

  • Experience with LEED v2009 minimum, v4 preferred.

  • Experience, ability and interest to fulfill the role and responsibilities of LEED Project Administrator

  • Engagement and collaboration with the firm’s national sustainable design leads.

  • Understands and coordinates technical matters relating to sustainable design

  • Ability to effectively communicate and strategize sustainable design options with the client.

  • Ability to write and/or review specifications for project sustainability needs

  • Applies experience and knowledge of building systems to produce technical documents.

  • Thorough knowledge of Revit, knowledge of 3D visualization software considered a plus.

  • Thorough knowledge of building codes

  • Active participation in professional organizations.
