Facilitate the successful deployment of an advanced Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) system for the Bay Area Rapid Transit System. Core member of the Deployment and Test and Commissioning Working Group. Coordinate the Contractor’s wayside installation design by reviewing Contractor’s CDRL’s and organizing document acceptance workshops with District stakeholders and contractor design teams. Participate in the Deployment Working Group meetings. Participate in Formal and Over the Shoulder Reviews. Coordinate Contractor’s Track Allocation Request (TAR) access within the BART Right of Way according to Contractor’s Site Specific Work Plans (SSWPs) which includes Shutdowns and Bus Bridges. Facilitate the reviews of Contractor’s SSWP / TAR requests. Coordinate Contractor’s Material Deliveries to District properties to ensure Contract Requirements, Standards and strict access protocols are followed. Anticipate risks and conflicts, and report to the Deployment Manager. Participate in the Request for Information (RFI) and the Change Order (CO) process required for design changes. Coordinate District Resources and Furnished Items to support Field Activities. Monitor and Inspect field activities on-site for quality and compliance to Contract / District standards and design. Coordinate field activities for Test and Commissioning and Operation Readiness activities. Support Reliability / Availability and Maintainability (RAM) system monitoring. Support the review of the Contract’s Migration and Installation strategy documentation.

TRAVEL: 10% - Local site travel to verify site condition.

Here’s what you’ll need :

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field and 4 years of work experience in job offered or related occupation in safety critical CBTC transit environment.

SPECIFIC SKILLS: Expertise/ knowledge of: Rail Transit Operational Procedures. Rail signaling work experience on Central, Wayside and Vehicular equipment. Versed is reading construction documentation and drawings. US Railway standards. Project management, work management systems and train controlling systems. Advanced Microsoft Office for Data Analysis.

The base salary range for this position is $120,245 to $171,500. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
