Jacobs is seeking a Title II Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. The candidate will need to work on the project location at Beale, Air Force Base in California.

This position is responsible for DoD Title II Quality Assurance services in addition to other contract management and administrative tasks. Services include quality assurance oversight during construction of one or more facility and/or infrastructure projects. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring progress and reporting on key metrics and problem areas.

  • Preparing and cataloging digital photo documentation of construction work in progress.

  • Participating in project meetings and teleconferences.

  • Performing inspections to ensure work by the construction contractor is meeting the contract requirements.

  • Evaluating progress for contractor payments.

  • Maintaining correspondence, submittals, shop drawings, reports, payments, contract changes, etc.

  • Assisting in the resolution of technical issues and site conditions.

  • Performing site inspections and providing daily progress details as part of weekly reports.

  • Documenting construction defects and omissions as they occur and track progress through resolution.

  • Technical expertise to perform payment inspections and validation of progress against the AF IMT 3065 forms.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or applicable field experience related to the overall project tasking; Fifteen (15) years of experience as a construction inspector with five (5) years as a lead inspector may be substituted for a degree.

  • Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in construction practices, procedures, testing, etc., to include three (3) years of quality control management related to construction projects, is required.

  • Certified completion of a professionally accredited Quality Control Management Course (e.g., conducted by the US Army Corps of Engineers or an independent private company) within the last five (5) years; Contractor’s self-developed programs will not fulfill this requirement.

  • Building construction experience required.

  • US Citizenship required.

  • Large airbase or hangar project experience preferred.

The base salary range for this position is $39.86 to $69.76 per hour. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
