We are looking for an experienced Utility Construction Engineer in the Seattle, WA area. You’ll coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team to help develop utility relocation plans, alternatives analysis, schedules, sequence, budget, and agreements. As the Utility Construction Engineer, you will work onsite with the design and construction team on utility conflict avoidance, coordinating the development of utility relocation designs with the design team and utility service providers when conflicts cannot be avoided, and reviewing easement documents for accuracy. We will rely on you to utilizing your expertise for identifying utilities and implementing strategies to clear any conflicts that could arise during construction and keep team updated on all utility relocation plans, schedules, and progress. You will also be responsible to review and develop specifications that define scope and schedule, notification requirements, etc for any utility relocation and coordination work for the Construction projects.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • 5 years experience working with local utility companies in a construction management capacity.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar is preferred but not required.

  • The position is available immediately and will transition from Design into construction.

  • Technical and organizational understanding of the local utilities, projects, and any applicable state laws and regulations (https://colliersengineering.com/utility-coordinator-role/) .

  • Willing to travel to different project sites as needed.

  • Must have a valid drivers license and good driving history.

Typical salary range for this position is $99,500- $174,200 is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
