As a Plant Operator, you’ll join a collaborative team ensuring that all contractual and regulatory standards are upheld while producing safe, clean drinking water. Based in Woodland, California, you’ll perform a variety of tasks in the operation of a water treatment plant. You’ll contribute to the success of our project by establishing and maintaining effective procedures of plant operations, and providing solutions to complex challenges that may arise. You’ll diagnose operational problems and make process control adjustments. You’ll also assist in preparing reports, collecting samples, performing laboratory testing, determining proper chemical flow rates, maintaining shift logs, and performing other duties as required. Most importantly, you’ll take action to ensure the safety, health and well-being of you and your team.

The facility we operate is a T5 rated Advanced Water Treatment Plant where your career can develop, and you can grow your skills. You can obtain a T5 license and an AWT5 license due to the rating of this facility.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Valid Grade T3 Water Treatment Operator Certification minimum is required at time of hire

  • Possess a valid driver’s license

  • Proficient in the use of a plant SCADA system

  • Ability to work independently

  • The desire to collaborate with your team

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Comprehension of CMMS programs

  • Computer skills

  • Understanding of ozone disinfection systems

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

Due to the nature of the job passing a physical is required to ensure candidates for this position are physically and functionally fit to perform the essential physical work functions of this safety sensitive position without posing a direct threat to the health or safety of themselves or others. The physical and environmental demands required to perform the essential duties of this position include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance and agility demands, which may include the ability to stoop, kneel, squat, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements. Additional demands may involve a specific level of dexterity, grip strength, climbing and cardiorespiratory demands. The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.

The base salary range for this position is $95,000 to $107,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
